What is ProWallet and how does it work?

  • ProWallet is a financial technology company that offers banking services through a mobile app. It provides features such as Instant Payment, Contractor and Laborer Contacts, Invoicing Send/Receive, Lien Waiver Tracking and a ProWallet MasterCard® Debit Card, (Virtual Debit Card for Wallet).

How do I open a ProWallet account?

  • Anyone can open a ProWallet account by downloading the ProWallet app and completing the sign-up process, which includes providing your personal information and agreeing to the terms and conditions.

What are the fees associated with a ProWallet account?

  • ProWallet accounts have no monthly fees, no minimum balance requirements, and no overdraft fees. Additionally, there are no fees for using over 60,000+ in-network ATMs from WalMart, Wagreens, RiteAid and CVS Pharmacy nationwide.

How do I deposit money into my ProWallet account?

  • ProWallet allows you to deposit money into your ProWallet account through direct deposit, mobile check deposit, bank transfers, or cash deposits at participating retailers.

What should I do if my ProWallet Debit card is lost or stolen?

  • In the unfortunate case your ProWallet card is lost or stolen, you should immediately disable it through the ProWallet app and report it. ProWallet will send a replacement card at no additional cost.

Can I send money to other ProWallet members?

  • Yes, sending (and receiving money) from others is as simple as adding them to your contacts, select Pay Now, and then amount, then send. This allows you to send money instantly to other Chime members.

Is my money safe with ProWallet?

  • Your ProWallet accounts are FDIC insured up to $250,000 through The Bancorp Bank or Stride Bank, N.A., Member FDIC. ProWallet also uses the very latest in encryption and security measures to protect your account.

Can I use my ProWallet Debit Card for everyday purchases?

  • Absolutely, you can use your ProWallet Debit Card anywhere Mastercard is accepted, both online and in-store. We will be offering reward points soon.

SpotMe/Fee-Free Overdraft SpotMe® for Credit Builder is an optional, no interest/no fee overdraft line of credit tied to the Secured Deposit Account. SpotMe on Debit is an optional, no fee service attached to your Chime Checking Account (individually or collectively, “SpotMe”). Eligibility for SpotMe requires $200 or more in qualifying direct deposits to your Chime Checking Account each month.

Qualifying members will be allowed to overdraw their Chime Checking Account and/or their Secured Deposit Account up to $20 in total, but may be later eligible for a higher combined limit of up to $200 or more based on member’s Chime account history, direct deposit frequency and amount, spending activity and other risk-based factors. Your SpotMe Limit will be displayed to you within the Chime mobile app. You will receive notice of any changes to your SpotMe Limit. Your SpotMe Limit may change at any time, at Chime or its banking partners’ discretion. Although there are no overdraft fees, there may be out-of-network or third party fees associated with ATM transactions or OTC cash withdrawal fees at retailers. SpotMe won't cover non card transactions, including ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, or Chime Checkbook transactions. SpotMe Terms and Conditions.

 

Early Payday/Get Paid Up to Two Days Early Early access to direct deposit funds depends on the timing of the submission of the payment file from the payer. We generally make these funds available on the day the payment file is received, which may be up to 2 days earlier than the scheduled payment date.

Credit Builder To apply for Credit Builder, you must have received a single qualifying direct deposit of $200 or more to your Chime® Checking Account. The qualifying direct deposit must be from your employer, payroll provider, gig economy payer, or benefits payer by Automated Clearing House (ACH) deposit OR Original Credit Transaction (OCT). Bank ACH transfers, Pay Anyone transfers, verification or trial deposits from financial institutions, peer to peer transfers from services such as PayPal, Cash App, or Venmo, mobile check deposits, cash loads or deposits, one-time direct deposits, such as tax refunds and other similar transactions, and any deposit to which Chime deems to not be a qualifying direct deposit are not qualifying direct deposits.
